GIJC17 Voices is a series of short interviews with some of the top investigative journalists from around the world.
He is also an activist and a board member of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Indonesia, a journalists’ association and press union that promotes freedom of the press.
Prior to his current appointment Dhyatmika was managing editor of Tempo’s Investigative Desk where he was involved in both in-country and cross-border investigations like SwissLeaks and Panama Papers.
He has been involved in projects to develop Tempo’s own blog and social media platform called Indonesiana. He was also involved in developing the TempoSMS platform which is aimed at fostering citizen journalism among local and marginalized communities. He is currently engaged with Tempo’s digital transformation and newsroom convergence.
He has participated in the Final Editor’s Lab hackathon in Vienna and has been instrumental in organizing Indonesia’s first ever media hackathon.
